The Fentanyl Project addresses the heartbreaking public health crisis is affecting unsuspecting families across America: fentanyl poisoning. Hidden in "party drugs", these fentanyl-laced drugs often lead to fatal results.
Our documentary, The Fentanyl Project, about the deadly threat of Fentanyl poisoning in young people across America, is part of the school curriculum in Sarasota and Manatee County high schools. The Fentanyl Project can also be seen on PBS stations across America.
The Fentanyl Project is shown in REHAB Centers across America, including Sarasota’s Lightshare Recovery Center.
The Fentanyl Project is screened nationally through Recovery Movie Meetups. Recovery Movie Meetups is an innovative, film-based, mutual support program that uses movies about addiction and recovery to facilitate therapeutic discussions with clients in recovery. The Fentanyl Project (a 26-minute documentary) is one of the featured, partnered films. The program is designed to reduce isolation, enhance motivation, and deepen self-reflection through "cinematherapy".
The Fentanyl Project is screened at state and national conferences on addiction with organizations such as Drug Free America and the Florida School Health Association.
